Serving

We couldn’t run this event without people like you helping us! There are many opportunities to serve and we have listed these below. If you are interested in helping us out, please contact servers@togetheratwestpoint.org.uk for more information.

Because we take the welfare of our delegates at TogetheratWestpoint very seriously, before you can serve you must read and agree to our Safeguarding Policy and sign to this effect on the serving form.  We will then contact one of your church elders for their recommendation before confirming your place on the team.

Applying to serve - please read before booking!

If you'd like to serve in one of the areas below, please book a server ticket on the booking system. This will generate the necessary server paperwork and you'll be able to indicate your choice of team. If you've been asked to serve by a Team Leader, they'll have given you a recruitment code which you'll need to enter on the booking form. If you haven't been specifically recruited, we'd still love you to serve - just indicate your choice from the options shown in the drop-down list.  However, should you wish to serve after completing your booking please email suzi@togetheratwestpoint.org.uk with your name and booking reference number plus details of the team you wish to serve in and this will altered for you.

Teams

Children

Children’s work is definitely the place to see children encountering God, receiving gifts and seeing them healed. Enthusiastic and eager volunteers are required for all 3 age groups:
·          Pre-school (age 3 & 4)
·          Key Stage 1 (Reception to Year 2)
·          Key Stage 2 (Years 3–6)
This is a great opportunity to share your gifting or learn new ideas and don’t worry if you haven’t any previous experience. Please indicate your age preference and any children’s work experience on the booking form. Our Team Leaders will be in touch to talk about possibilities.
NB All children’s workers need to have an Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) Disclosure, dated on or after 1 September 2007. Obtaining a new CRB disclosure can take up to 12 weeks, so if you require a disclosure or need to renew your current one please apply without delay through your church, so you can be cleared to serve.

Site security and safety team

Serving in this area you'll help to look after the safety of delegates; this may include patrolling the site, supervising traffic and dealing with incidents as they arise.

Site set up and site take down

Are you free to help set up the site from Monday August 16 or take down the site after the Event until Wednesday 25th August?  If you are the practical “hands on” type, we need you!  Please add a set up or take down ticket to your server booking.

Sports and social team

If you like sport, games and having fun, please sign up to help with our sporting activities, competitions and events.

Stewarding team

Being part of this team means looking after the safety and comfort of delegates while the meetings are taking place. This includes checking that the venues are safe before, during and after the meetings.

THE VILLAGE

Friendly helpers needed to have fun serving in the hub of our social activity.

Toilet and shower cleaning team

Handy with a mop? We could use you as part of this team – the unsung heroes!

Welcome team

Welcomes delegates! A smile and a cheery greeting is all that is required, plus an ability to remember key information visitors might like to know, and be able to communicate it clearly to them.

Youth

We're expecting our young people to have life changing encounters with God at TogetheratWestpoint.  Come and join our Youth Team working with an emerging generation of people on a mission. There will be lots of fun, so sign up if you have some experience and love working with young people.
